Cantor's Corner

Cantor's Corner contains music and texts for the services of the Church.  There is a sub-menu for the typicon, another for texts, and another for music.

The music mostly consists of Kyivan/Obikhod melodies, with the occasional Galician or other melody used as well.  The texts are those of the Dobryj Pastyr prayer book, printed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada in 2013, along with other UOCC publications.  Where there are no official UOCC translations we have used translations which are similar in style to the UOCC translations, especially those of Archimandrite Ephrem Lash of blessed memory, and are ackowledged as such.

The typicon is an abridged version for parish use prepared by Fr. Bohdan Hladio.  All service booklets were prepared by Subdeacon Franko Diakowsky of Toronto.

Over the course of 2019 we hope to post texts and music for all the services of the Church.

Orthodox Christian Family Fellowship

Our Orthodox Christian Familly Fellowship is a program for parents with young children.  Our participants include both Orthodox and non-Orthodox, Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian families, who meet on average twice a month for spiritual support, fellowship, and Christian formation.  The gatherings are held on Saturdays, beginning at 3 PM with fellowship, followed by various educational, cultural, and spiritual activities, and concludes with Vespers at 5 PM  (which is served in English).  Our final gathering before Pascha takes place on April 4th, and will begin with the Divine Liturgy at 10 AM, followed by a fellowship pot-luck brunch.

We invite everyone with younger children, from toddlers through early primary school, to participate.
